This body of work draws inspiration from architectural forms—particularly the elegance and structure of buttresses, pointed arches, lancet windows, and passageways. I’ve always been drawn to how these elements stretch upward with purpose, intersecting and unfolding with a kind of airy grandeur. In this series, I explore how basic geometric shapes—especially triangles—can be pulled, merged, and reconfigured to suggest new spatial relationships.
The sculptures embody a rising gesture: forms leaning into one another, creating tension and harmony, drawing the eye along sweeping arcs and subtle curves. As these elements converge, they frame a central negative space—a window, a threshold, a place for pause. It's within that quiet space between that I hope the viewer feels a sense of stillness and personal reflection. There’s a certain ephemerality to the material itself—translucent, shifting with the light—while the colors and textures offer both solidity and delicacy. Each piece becomes a moment suspended, where architecture meets abstraction and form invites contemplation. |
