Gestural SculpturesAvailable Work
These pieces are available to buy directly from my studio. Want to see more? Head over to the Portfolio section—there you'll find links to galleries with more work for sale. These sculptures are physical translations of my quick, gestural sketches—moments of intuition captured in glass. I aim to preserve the spontaneity and rhythm of the original marks, allowing the fluid nature of the material to carry that energy forward. Glass, with its inherent grace and transformative qualities, becomes both the medium and the message—conveying motion, light, and presence.
Surface treatments, including intricate cuts and polished facets, contrast with the smooth, flowing forms, creating dynamic visual tension and textural richness. These details invite closer inspection and reward the viewer with a layered, tactile experience. The work draws from the organic elegance of Art Nouveau and the streamlined geometry of Art Deco—merging sinuous curves with bold structure. This fusion of styles bridges nature’s irregularity with human-made precision, speaking to a broader narrative of harmony between the intuitive and the constructed. Each piece is designed to be viewed in the round. As the viewer moves, the sculpture shifts—revealing new lines, shadows, and volumes. This sense of continuous transformation echoes the process itself: initial gestures shaped by hand, refined through craft, and ultimately brought to life by light and movement. These works are not static objects; they are evolving experiences—expressions of balance, vitality, and the rich lineage of decorative art traditions. |
